A Different Way to Find Options Opportunities
Joe Duffy is preparing to introduce a brand-new options trading program called Dark Pool Profits.
The program looks beyond traditional chart patterns and fundamental analysis. Joe starts by searching for signs of unusually large institutional activity.
That includes transactions reported through dark pools.
These large trades can provide clues that significant money may be moving into or out of a stock.
But Joe doesn’t stop there.
A Dark Pool Trade Is Only the Beginning
A large dark pool transaction doesn’t automatically tell a trader whether to buy or sell.
Joe uses it as a starting point.
Next, he examines the options market for additional evidence. He may look at open interest, unusual options activity and order flow.
Joe also studies where large options orders trade. Activity near the bid or ask can sometimes reveal buying or selling pressure.
The goal is to identify a possible supply or demand imbalance.
Then Joe turns to the chart.
Joe’s Three-Step Process
The strategy combines three layers of market information.
1. Find Institutional Activity
Joe searches for unusually large transactions that may signal institutional participation.
2. Check the Options Market
He studies open interest and options flow for signs of buying or selling pressure.
3. Confirm the Trade on the Chart
Joe uses technical analysis to determine whether an entry makes sense. He also uses the chart to help manage the position.
This approach goes well beyond simply following a dark pool print.
Joe wants to find the footprint, investigate the activity and then look for price confirmation.
Managing the Trade
Finding a potential opportunity is only the first step.
Joe continues to watch each position after entering the trade.
If a position fails to perform as expected, he may exit or hedge it. When a trade moves in his favor, he can use important chart levels to help determine when to take profits.
Members may also receive short written comments when Joe wants to provide more detail about a setup or trade.
FFR Has Watched the Strategy Develop
FFR has worked with Joe for several months. During that time, we’ve had the opportunity to watch him trade the strategy live.
Now we’re preparing to introduce Dark Pool Profits through a special preferred-client pre-launch.
The goal is to give existing FFR clients an early look at the strategy before the broader launch.
We’ll also provide more information about how the service works and what members receive.
Follow the Footprints of Institutional Money
The idea behind Dark Pool Profits is straightforward:
Large institutional trades may leave clues. Joe’s job is to investigate those clues before making a trading decision.
He combines dark pool activity, options intelligence and technical analysis to search for potential options opportunities.
We’ll have much more to share about Joe Duffy’s Dark Pool Profits soon.
Watch for details about the program, upcoming presentations and the preferred-client pre-launch.
Stay tuned. This is one new trading program you’ll want to watch closely.
